  • What are the dates and hours of the festival?
    Saturday, Sept. 6 from 10am to 10pm Sunday, Sept. 7 from 11am to 8pm
  • Where is the festival located?
    3459 Manchester Avenue, Cardiff by the Sea, CA 92007
  • Is there a charge to get in?
    Yes. The cost is $4.00 per person. Children under 12 are free. First responders, military and veterans are also free.
  • Are pets allowed?
    No. Only credentialed service dogs are allowed into the festival. Please note that Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) are not allowed at the festival. While ESAs are protected under housing laws, they do not have the same access privileges to public events as credentialed service dogs. As mandated by San Diego County Health Department Regulations, no animals are allowed on the festival grounds unless they are credentialed guide, signal or service dogs as defined by California Penal Code 365.5 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). ESAs do not meet the definition of guide, signal or service docs and do not have the same access rights for a public event like the festival. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
  • May I pay with a credit or debit card?
    Yes. We take most major credit cards as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay. We also still take cash.
  • Is this a family friendly event? What kids activities do you have?
    Yes, we are a family friendly event. Our Kids Zone features bounce houses, face/body paint artists, and kid friendly food. Lots of kids also enjoy getting out on the dance floor and watching the folk dance presentations.
  • Is there seating available?
    We have lots of seating throughout all areas of the festival.
  • What happens if it's extremely hot?
    Cardiff/Encinitas usually has a nice breeze which helps offset the heat. But the last couple of years has seen increased temperatures in our area. SO we have added more canopies and tent toppers this year. Also, the church will remain open for those seeking relief from heat. The pastries center is also air conditioned. And we have a cooling zone downstairs at the church for those in need.
  • What happens if it rains?
    The festival takes place rain or shine. Most activities are outdoors but we have plenty of tents and shade available.
  • Are there accessible restrooms?
    Yes, we provide ADA compliant restrooms that are easily accessible from all main areas.
  • Is the festival wheelchair accessible?
    Yes, the festival grounds are wheelchair accessible, including restrooms, food areas and entertainment zones. Some areas may have uneven surfaces, so we recommend using mobility aids for outdoor terrain.
  • Is there parking available? What about disabled parking?
    Yes there is free parking at Mira Costa College, right next to the church. Parking includes designated spaces for those with disabled parking placards. There is a ramp from the college parking lot to the festival entrance.
  • Are there any quiet or sensory-friendly areas?
    While the festival is a lively event, we recognize some guests may need a quiet rest area. Those guests are welcome to take a few minutes in the church or use our conference room downstairs. Please ask a volunteer at Admissions or in the church for help in finding a less crowded space.
  • Can I bring outside food or drink?
    No. Outside food and drinks are not permitted unless there is a medical necessity. We have a wide selection of food and drink available at the festival.
  • Can I pay with a credit or debit card?
    Yes. We take most major credit cards as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay.
  • What kind of food will be available?
    Enjoy traditional Greek favorites like gyros, souvlaki (aka shish-kebab), spanikopita, pastistio, lamp shanks, baklava, loukoumathes, lots of Greek pastries, and so much more! For the full menu visit our Food/Drink page on the web site. For the kids we also have hot dogs, chips, snow cones, cotton candy, and soda. Our bars feature Greek beer, OGGI's on tap, domestic beer, Greek wines, Ouzo, soda, and canned water. We also have a water station so bring your refillable bottle and stay hydrated.
  • How do I edit or remove the 'Frequently Asked Questions' title?
    You can edit the title from the FAQ 'Settings' tab in the Editor. To remove the title from your mobile app go to the 'Site & App' tab in your Owner's app and customize.
  • Will there be activities for kids?
    For families, we have a Kids Zone that includes bounce houses and talented face and body painting artists, ensuring fun for all ages.
  • May I go inside the church?
    We will offer church tours each day and the church will be open if you just want to stop in a take look.
  • Will there be music?
    We offer a vibrant and enriching experience that celebrates Greek heritage through a variety of entertainment and activities! In our Taverna tent we feature a live band playing Greek music all day, creating a festive atmosphere perfect for dancing. We also offer Greek dance lessons to help you learn the steps so you can get out on the dance floor all weekend!
  • Will there be Greek dance? Any dance lessons offered?
    There will be Greek dance throughout the day in our Taverna tent. We will also offer dance lessons and our Greek dancers will offer a demonstration of traditional folk dances each day. Check the schedule for times.

  • Where do proceeds from the Festival go?
    All Greek Festival proceeds benefit the ministries of Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church. Through its ministries the church supports: Kids N Cancer Camp Agape; Encinitas Scout Troop 2000; Foundation for Women Warriors; Feeding San Diego; Boys and Girls Club of Vista; Doors of Change; Generate Hope; Elderhelp of San Diego; Casa de Amparo; Classics for Kids; Project Mexico; Folk Dance and Choral Festival; Scholarships for parish youth; and so much more!

Is there parking available? Yes. We have free parking at Mira Costa College which is right next to the church grounds.

Will there be live entertainment? Yes. In addition to a Greek band, we will have Greek folk dance instruction and presentations throughout the weekend. Check the schedule for the times.
